Prairie Fest Quilt Show 2022 from Cheryl's Teapots2Quilting

Every year the Quilter's Dozen hand quilting group has a quilt show during Prairie Fest.  I usually go to the quilt show just before I drive in the parade (I drive hubby's Barbershop chorus).  This is a nice, but small quilt show.  I took several photos for you (sorry for the angles, but it's a small space).

April was Busy! from Cheryl's Teapots2Quilting

Last time I posted was March 24th.  It's been a whirlwind since then.  

First, I traveled to Texarkana, Arkansas for the first ever Texarkana TOGA (Treadle On Gathering & Academy).  Lots of people that I knew from other TOGA's past, and some new friends. There were lots of classes taught at the TOGA.

Piecework Bodkin Holder Pattern from Collector with a Needle

The summer 2022 edition of Piecework magazine is hitting the stands April 26, 2022.


I am so excited to have an article AND pattern in this issue.  
While bodkins are covered in my book, "Antique American Needlework Tools" I didn't have room to dive as deep as I would have liked.  Also included is the pattern to make the sweet floral trim bodkin holder.

In addition to bodkin history and the bodkin bolster instructions, there are several photos of bodkins and bodkin holders for inspiration.  Including a special Mother of Pearl Royal Palais Etui set.

Some Finishes, a Gift and Getting Ready from Cheryl's Teapots2Quilting

 Yipee!  I finished both Harry Potter Castle quilt tops this weekend!  The long arm quilter has them now.  I started the blocks for these quilts back in February.  I didn't get a chance to work on them over the summer, but I finally got time to get the blocks in the Castle setting this past week.
